Down for the Count with Michael “Bear” Clair

Michael “Bear” Clair was a professional musician from the time he was 13 years old, touring the world 3 times in various bands. He played guitar several Grand Old Opry Stars while he was living in Nashville. In the mid 80’s he took a detour into professional wrestling, which nearly cost him his life. Invisible wounds came with the territory, which have cost many young wrestlers their lives. Known then as International Alliance champions Dr Squash and the Interns, his story will hopefully shed light on the subject, helping others who are suffering the effects of multiple concussion (Now considered TBI’s), and PTSD. “Bear” is also a staunch Patriot, fighting along the hbotvet.us group ( tab with his story), to bring this treatment to our many wounded Vets. Mikal Vega Vital Warrior

Mikal Vega, CPO (RET) USN served 22 years in the US Military and held many positions such as a SEAL Platoon Leading Chief Petty Officer, Personal Security Detail Shift Leader, US Navy Seal Combatives Instructor, US Navy SEAL Demolitions Instructor and Senior Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician. He holds many awards including The Purple Heart for injuries sustained during OIF, two Bronze Stars with combat valor for OIF, Army Achievement Medal for Operation Joint Guardian Kosovo and the Navy Achievement Medal. Mikal was also awarded the CCHR Human Rights Leadership Award in 2014.

Mikal’s qualifications include but are not limited to Navy SEAL, Senior EOD Technician (Bomb Squad), Breacher RSO, HRST Master, Free Fall Parachutist, U.S. Secret Service Presidential Security Detail Operations, Combat Leadership, Precision Driver, Dynamic firearms, SCUBA and closed circuit diving supervisor, Cold Weather Environment Survival, Demolitions Instructor and Martial Artist.

Following his lifelong passion for acting, he uses his career successes to fund Vital Warrior, a system that increases performance and resiliency through non-pharmaceutical stress mitigation techniques that can help veterans and their families recover from wartime trauma. His recent accomplishments include becoming the president of AK Waters Productions as well as acting roles in Transformers 4, Ninja Turtles, Hawaii Five-O, Colony and much more.
