The Brain and Possible Connections between Chronic Fatigue and other conditions

Dr. Theodore Henderson is a noted psychiatrist, brain doctor and researcher. He’s much like the “Sherlock” of his field because he specializes in investigating complex cases and finding successful treatments. Tonight we will be discussing the hidden connection between the brain and many of today’s “untreatable” conditions like chronic fatigue, chronic pain, and fibromyalgia. His passion to identify and treat the root cause of the problems has led him to find an interesting connection between viruses and our mental, physical health. He’s working on a new book, “Going Viral for Mental Health,” outlining his discoveries solving many of today’s untreatable conditions.

Dr. Henderson is Co Founder of Neuro-Laser Foundation, and Dr. Henderson was among the research team earning No. 19 of the Top 100 Discoveries of the Year, as selected by Discover Magazine. See neuro-luminance.com

The Learning Man

After working both sides of the curtain, after his military service, Alan Wilbar took a 47’ dive while down rigging a circus tent resulting in aTBI, coma, broken body, PTSD, and a lifetime of learning.

Published poet, Alan wrote incessantly as he recovered, eventually editing his work with “Doc” Cote, compiling a selection for publication. Friend Dave Maheu, home from LA where he was working at Entertainment Tonight read the collection and Learning Man was born. A multimedia presentation, it takes a nonsurvivor audience on the journey thru tbi, recovery, showing them what WE see, helping them feel what WE feel. Helping them understand brain injury isn’t just a “bump on the head”, rather a life changing event for all concerned. Poetry punctuates each level of rebirth, helping them understand further thru metaphor and image with some wry, catchy music finishing up the presentation. A tiny slice of this was offered at a recent preview show to great response and reaction. We think they’re ready for the message.

Healing Gone to the Dogs

Former Chicago radio reporter Janet Sutherland was living alone when a ruptured brain aneurysm left her fighting for her life. Now she is a survivor and an author! Her book highlights that caring for dogs often inspires us to take better care of ourselves, particularly in times of crisis. Andrew J immediately took on the role as a “therapy” dog for Janet.

A portion of the proceeds from this book will be donated to the Brain Aneurysm Foundation, the globally recognized leader in brain aneurysm awareness, education, support, advocacy and research funding. The foundation provides support, education, and information to brain aneurysm patients, their families, and the medical community. They also fund essential research that can directly benefit those affected and help to reduce the incidence of ruptured aneurysms. For more see janetesutherlandcom
