Carole Starr sustained a brain injury in a car accident in 1999, which left her unable to return to her career as a corporate trainer or her hobby as a classical musician. She struggled for many years to come to terms with a life forever changed. She’s reinvented herself as a brain injury keynote speaker, the leader of the award-winning Maine survivor group Brain Injury Voices and the creator of the traveling photography exhibit, Resilience: Moving Forward after Adversity. She’s also writing a book about accepting brain injury. See braininjuryvoices.org
