My guest tonight is Shubie Gomez, a multiple brain aneurysm survivor, 5yrs out. As I recognize the anniversary this week of my own rupture, I’m happy to be having her join me. We want to help listeners better grasp this little understood example brain trauma. Think the topic doesn’t apply to you? One in 50 people in the U.S. have unruptured aneurysms, of which many are not yet aware. Every 18 minutes an aneurysm ruptures, killing 40% almost instantly and leaving over 60% of survivors with life long neurological deficits.
