Where Are You Christmas?

This year Christmas is not Merry and Bright for my family. In fact this is perhaps the saddest Christmas I remember. I hear holidays sometimes work out that way.. Life, Death, Illness .. Sometimes even brain injury. I was gone last week. Couldn’t do it. Too much shock then. Now numb and heartbroken. Maybe can’t tonight. One thing I miss is the music right now. The “holidays” since just after Thanksgiving have been a blur for me. I’ll be here playing some holiday music tonight and talking a little bit. If you want to call in, please do. If not, enjoy the music, Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas to you and yours.

How to Handle the Holidays

Merry and Bright are not always easy constants over the holidays. Bittersweet usually captures us at one point or another in the race from Thanksgiving to the New Year. Revisiting beloved traditions, missing those that are gone. How do you handle the holidays, with the challenge of Brain Injury? Call me & share, and I’ll be breaking out some seasonal tunes. We can do this 🙂 Join me! This show is a gathering place for anyone seeking recovery from the challenges of life on life’s terms. We discuss useful tools that have helped us lighten the load, of our journey through recovery. More will be revealed!

Thomas Lane and The Karma Factor

Author, poet and musician Thomas Lane, will discuss new release The Karma Factor, a work of visionary fiction exploring the boundaries of human consciousness against the backdrop of a classic suspense thriller. With a purpose that transcends the genre, Lane expertly weaves the novel’s wider message in a ground-breaking, white-knuckle ride between worlds, as characters set out to make karmic amendments, right wrongs and re-establish the power of choice. His captivating thriller reveals the mystery of human existence through an extraordinary twist of fate. Thomas Lane is a multi-dimensional creative drawn to spaces where art, spirit, and social justice intersect. He is also the author of The Artists’ Manifesto, a tribute to the power of the arts and its value to a society that has forgotten the precious nature of life. In addition to creating a collection of poetry, screenplays and paintings, he recorded a CD of his songs, entitled Hotel Earth under the stage name Trakker.

Poetic Human John Krotec

John T. Krotec is an entrepreneur, speaker, writer, and army veteran. After college, he went to work in corporate America and realized that despite doing well in the job, he wanted something more. He joined the Army later in life with the purpose of serving his Country. The Army taught him discipline and how to value himself. After three years of Active Duty, he left the Army and returned to civilian life. It was then that he got reacquainted with his future wife, helping her to raise a family. In 2012, John hit rock bottom and survived a traumatic brain injury caused by an alcohol-fueled traffic accident. This unleashed his demons and forced him to finally cope with the trauma he experienced at a young age. Over this time, he almost lost his marriage and family. With months of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Hemp-Based Pharmaceutical (CBD) treatment, he developed his own healing system by using creative pursuits for coping with trauma and saving his marriage in the process. John is currently involved with several creative businesses and holistic healing pursuits, which include: Poetic Human, Heartscribes, Women’s Expressions on Leadership, Learning, and Liberty Podcast Show, GreenZone Hero, and Straight Outta Combat Radio.

Simon Says: Covid and Other Aspects of Spooky

Welcome back to Simon!! After months of treatments and recovery, Simon is back On Air with us! Halloween is days away. Little back story on the occasion, and Simon’s latest health journey. What scares you? With the approach of winter, now well into fall, comes the confusion on Covid going into 3rd yr. Many people believed when the President said Covid was over, that was fact. Others have counted many more verbal mis-steps, and know that the truth is Covid is NOT over. For people who had abandoned safety protocols anyway, the “over” news was welcome. There are those who still know people (or are themselves) contracting Covid now. The facts have become more scary and frustrating. Should we know more “certains by now?” What protocols do we keep? Vaccine, no vaccine and how many? Treatment is reduced to Pfizer now – Antibodies are harder to come by. Fauci has told us when more gather inside as the weather changes for many of us, the case count of Covid, Flu, and RSV “could” become of perfect storm of respiratory virus infections that rival year 1 of Covid.
