HETRA and Healing

Edye Godden is the Executive Director of Heartland Equine Therapeutic Riding Academy (HETRA) located in Gretna, Nebraska. HETRA’s mission is to improve the quality of life for adults and children with disabilities through equine assisted activities. Edye graduated from Creighton University with a degree in Occupational Therapy. She also serves as one HETRA’s occupational therapists and is a PATH International certified instructor. Edye has been with the HETRA organization since 1991. She feels very fortunate to be able to combine her two great passions – helping people and love of horses – to help the students achieve a greater level of independence and positive mental health.
